Job summary

Vax in the United Kingdom is seeking a Systems Developer to join its Information Systems team. You will work on modern technologies including Magento, PHP, Node.js, AWS, OpenSearch, APIs, and AI to deliver reliable, scalable solutions.

This role follows a hybrid pattern: 3 days on site and 2 days remote, offering exposure to eCommerce integrations, cloud hosting, and continuous improvement across our tech landscape. Collaboration with stakeholders is essential to deliver impactful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience with modern software engineering practices.
• Exposure to Node.js development and application integrations.
• Understanding of REST APIs, distributed systems, and asynchronous processing.
• Experience working with SQL databases.
• Knowledge of Git, code reviews, testing, and CI/CD practices.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Developing and enhancing applications and custom functionality.

• Maintaining monitoring, alerting, and platform observability tools.
• Investigating and resolving production issues while improving system reliability.
• Writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.

• Contributing to API-first, headless, and composable commerce initiatives.
