Job summary

Vax in the United Kingdom is seeking a Systems Developer to build, integrate, and support the digital platforms powering our customer experience. You will work across a modern stack including Magento, PHP, Node.js, AWS, OpenSearch, and APIs to deliver reliable and secure solutions.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Systems Developer, you'll play a key role in developing, integrating, and supporting the digital platforms that power our business and customer experience. You'll work across a modern technology stack including Magento, PHP, Node.js, AWS, OpenSearch, APIs, and AI technologies, helping to deliver reliable, scalable, and secure solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

What We're Looking For

Experience with software development and modern software engineering practices Exposure to Node.js development and application integrations Understanding of REST APIs, distributed systems, and asynchronous processing Experience working with SQL databases Knowledge of Git, code reviews, testing, and CI/CD practices Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Desirable

Experience AWS cloud services, particularly Lambda Monitoring and logging tools such as OpenSearch API-first, headless, or composable commerce architectures AI-assisted development tools and emerging AI technologies Experience with LLMs, vector search, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), or agent-based solutions Magento development experience nodejs, PHP, javascript language understanding
