Job summary

Solid Talent is seeking a SuDS Engineer to join a growing team delivering sustainable drainage for diverse developments. Hybrid/Remote work options available, based in the UK.

The role focuses on designing SuDS, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring regulatory alignment to deliver resilient urban environments. You will develop flood risk assessments and rainwater management strategies while working toward ICE or CIWEM chartership with company support.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in drainage design and SuDS principles.
• Proficiency with drainage and modelling tools (MicroDrainage, InfoDrainage, Causeway FLOW, Civil 3D, or Site3D).
• Experience in Flood Risk assessment.
• Desirable: Solid understanding of UK SuDS legislation, planning policies, and standards (e.g., CIRIA C753).
• Desirable: Experience with Highways/2D hydraulic modelling, or preparing Section Agreements (S104, S38, S278).

Responsibilities

• Designing and delivering sustainable drainage systems (SuDS) for residential, commercial, and infrastructure developments.
• Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to develop practical drainage solutions.
• Ensuring all designs meet regulatory requirements and specific client needs.
• Developing flood risk assessments and rainwater management strategies.
• Working toward professional chartership with ICE or CIWEM with company support.
