Job summary

Solid Talent is seeking a Civil & Sustainable Drainage (SuDS) Engineer for a hybrid/remote role based in Cheshire, West Yorkshire or Nottinghamshire. The position offers full-time permanent employment with opportunities to work on diverse developments and water management schemes across the UK.

You will design SuDS, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure compliance with UK regulations while supporting flood risk strategies.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience in drainage design and SuDS.
• Proficiency with drainage modelling tools (MicroDrainage, InfoDrainage, Causeway FLOW, Civil 3D or Site3D).
• Desirable: knowledge of UK SuDS legislation and planning policies.

Responsibilities

• Design SuDS for residential, commercial, and infrastructure developments.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on drainage solutions.
• Ensure designs meet regulatory requirements and client needs.
• Develop flood risk assessments and rainwater management strategies.
• Support ICE or CIWEM chartership with company backing.
