Job summary

Calibre Search is working with a growing Civil, Structural and Geo-Environmental Engineering Consultancy to appoint a Structural Engineer in Sheffield. You'll work on a varied portfolio from concept to construction.

You will design and analyse structures in steel, concrete, timber and masonry, prepare calculations and engage with architects, contractors and the wider design team. The firm supports CPD and a clear path toward Chartership.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering and some post-graduate experience in structural engineering.
• Good grounding in British Standards and Eurocodes.
• Experience with structural analysis and design software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out structural analysis and design across steel, reinforced concrete, timber and masonry.
• Prepare structural calculations, reports and technical information.
• Work with Technicians on drawings and models and liaise with Architects, Contractors and the wider design team.
• Attend design meetings and site visits and gain experience across project stages.
