Job summary

Dorset HealthCare is seeking a Speech and Language Therapy Assistant to join the Community Adult SLT service serving Weymouth, Portland, Dorchester, Bridport and surrounding areas.

You will be supported by Speech and Language Therapists including a team manager and clinical manager, with CPD opportunities and regular supervision. We embrace flexible working and offer a hybrid model of working from home as well as the office. DBS check is required; visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Ability to develop relationships with patients, carers, staff and work within a team.
• Desirable NVQ level 3 or equivalent (or working towards) in rehabilitation.
• Full Driving Licence and access to a car.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of the Speech and Language Therapy team to provide high quality rehabilitation & support for adults with communication and swallowing difficulties.
• Follow direction from qualified clinicians to implement planned treatment interventions and help develop care programmes.
• Provide confidential administration and IT support to the Community Speech and Language Therapy Service; maintain communication aids.
