Job summary

Central London Community Healthcare is seeking a Speech and Language Therapy Assistant to support the Adult SLT Team in community settings across Barnet and surrounding areas. You will assist Therapists, help deliver rehabilitation programmes, and manage a delegated caseload with visits to patients in their homes and local clinics.

The role requires excellent organisational and communication skills, empathy, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team under

Qualifications

• Educated to GCSE level including maths and English.
• Demonstrates understanding of communication disorders and rehabilitation principles.
• Experience using Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Deliver rehabilitation programmes delegated and supervised by qualified Speech and Language Therapists.
• Manage and prioritise a delegated caseload, monitoring patient progress and reporting changes or concerns.
• Support patients with communication and swallowing difficulties following illness and neurological conditions.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy interventions in community settings.
• Assist with development and preparation of therapy resources and materials.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to report writing and documentation.
• Provide administrative support to the Speech and Language Therapy team as required.
