Job summary

EDF Energy is seeking a Solar and Storage Performance Analyst to lead detailed performance analysis across solar and battery assets, driving improvements and value for a growing renewable portfolio in the UK.

You’ll develop advanced models and automation, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and support onboarding of new technologies to optimise operations and decision-making for long-term asset performance.

Qualifications

• A degree-level qualification or recognised equivalent.
• Highly numerate analytical and modelling experience, including building, maintaining and challenging complex models.
• Experience managing multiple activities and priorities concurrently in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience using data analysis to identify trends, issues and improvement opportunities.
• The ability to work independently and collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring the performance of solar and battery storage assets and supporting operational reporting activities.
• Developing and maintaining tools, systems and models that support performance analysis and asset optimisation.
• Analysing asset performance data to identify underperformance, trends and improvement opportunities.
• Supporting the onboarding of new technologies, systems and renewable assets into operations.
• Producing performance reports, dashboards and presentations for internal stakeholders.
• Validating and improving data quality across performance systems and reporting platforms.
• Working with Asset Management, Engineering and Maintenance teams to implement performance improvements.
• Supporting battery energy storage analysis, including availability, capacity and degradation assessments.
• Developing automation solutions and coding tools to improve monitoring and reporting processes.
• Investigating emerging technologies and recommending performance enhancements across the portfolio.
