Job summary

Belectric UK, part of the Elevion Group, is seeking an experienced Commissioning Supervisor to lead the commissioning of solar PV and battery energy storage projects across the UK. You will oversee HV/LV systems, coordinate teams and ensure safe, compliant handover according to project programmes.

The role offers hybrid working with 3 days on site and 2 days at home, a full-time schedule, and a pathway to impact the renewable energy sector in a forward-looking company.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in HV switchgear, transformer and associated plant commissioning.
• Experience commissioning Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) including AC/DC and DC/DC conversion equipment.
• Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and single-line diagrams (SLDs).
• Experience liaising with DNOs and client/stakeholder representatives.
• Working knowledge of BS 7671, IEC 60364, and UK grid code requirements (G99/G100).

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of commissioning activities across Solar PV and BESS projects, ensuring safe, compliant delivery from pre-energisation to handover.
• Coordinate commissioning teams, subcontractors and key stakeholders while maintaining documentation and managing risks.
