Job summary

MDE UK is seeking a Solar Performance Analyst/Monitoring & Data Analyst to oversee a portfolio of operational solar assets across the UK on a hybrid basis. You will monitor assets remotely, review alarms, and analyse performance data to identify faults and underperformance.

The role emphasizes data handling, KPIs, and collaboration with engineering and operations teams. Prior solar experience is helpful, with transferable skills from monitoring, utilities, or data-driven roles.

Qualifications

• Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
• Able to handle large datasets and identify inconsistencies.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Organised, able to prioritise workload.
• Experience in solar PV or monitoring environments is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Monitor operational solar assets remotely and review alarms.
• Prioritise potential faults and investigate performance issues.
• Analyse operational data and report on KPIs.
• Produce regular performance reports and maintain datasets.
• Collaborate with engineering/ops teams to coordinate actions.
• Troubleshoot site communication systems and networks.
• Maintain asset information in maintenance systems.
• Identify trends and improve internal reporting.
