Job summary

You will drive architectural decisions, enforce standards, and mentor engineers while maintaining practical project delivery and secure code practices.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years of IT experience in Banking or Insurance.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Math, Physics, Statistics, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps using GitHub, Jenkins, Azure DevOps or similar tools.
• Experience with Jira and Confluence.
• Experience with Agile practices.
• Experience in multiple development languages (SAS, Python, Go, JavaScript, React).
• Experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Certifications in Risk Management and Accounting Standards valued.

Responsibilities

• Organize, develop, prioritize, and assign resources to deliver high quality, testable and scalable software solutions within established timelines.
• Lead development project designs and enforce technical standards across environments.
• Lead test management activities including resource management and risk control; invest in test automation frameworks.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure requirements are satisfied and aligned with R&D standards.
• Manage scoping, scheduling, and progress tracking; alert management on concerns.
• Maintain accountability for the code life cycle and support for internal and external consumers.
• Ensure design and technical documentation accuracy for internal/external audiences.
• Provide technical leadership through mentoring, training and team management.
• Drive departmental performance, growth, and alignment with SAS HR processes.
• Mentor and train daily activities of the team; work with product marketing and management to refine direction.
• Engage with upper management on major decisions and complex issues.
