Job summary

Get Staffed Online Recruitment Limited is seeking a Software Developer Apprentice in a hybrid role split between the Woking, Surrey office and home. This full-time apprenticeship runs 0–12 months with £15,600 gross per year for the first phase, rising to National Minimum Wage for age in the second phase.

The position supports the development team and offers a Level 4 Software Developer BCS accredited qualification.

Qualifications

• Some coding experience from school, college, a bootcamp or personal projects.
• 5 GCSEs at grades A*-C/9-4 (or equivalent) including English and maths.
• Level 4 Software Developer BCS accredited apprenticeship qualification when completed.

Responsibilities

• Write TypeScript, React and GraphQL code, Drupal themes and modules.
• Engage with stakeholders to ensure requirements are delivered on time.
• Raise Github pull requests and participate in code reviews.
• Build accessible interfaces that meet WCAG 2.2 AA.
• Write unit tests and Playwright tests, PHPunit, Vitest/Jest.
• Identify causes of bugs and implement fixes.
• Support deployment to customer and internal environments.
• Write secure code to protect users against XSS.
• Use Claude and other AI coding tools.
