Job summary

ADLIB in Manchester is looking for an experienced Shopify Developer to join a digital agency. You’ll work across a mix of Shopify projects, including new builds, migrations and ongoing development.

You’ll build bespoke themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS and JavaScript, translate Figma designs into responsive storefronts, work with apps, metafields and metaobjects, and support migrations from other eCommerce platforms. Hybrid working with 1–2 days in the office.

Qualifications

• Commercial experience as a Shopify Developer in a digital or ecommerce agency.
• Strong Shopify theme development using Liquid, HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Experience building bespoke Shopify storefronts, not just off-the-shelf themes.
• Knowledge of Shopify CLI and Online Store 2.0.
• Experience with metafields and metaobjects.
• Able to translate Figma designs into responsive builds.
• Experience using Git and GitHub or Bitbucket.
• Understanding of performance, accessibility and cross‑browser testing.
• Experience across multiple projects and deadlines.
• UK-based with right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Build, customise and maintain Shopify stores for clients across sectors.
• Develop themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Turn Figma designs into accurate storefronts.
• Work with apps, integrations, metafields and metaobjects.
• Support migrations to Shopify from other eCommerce platforms.
• Focus on storefront performance, Core Web Vitals and accessibility.
• Collaborate with other developers, designers and PMs during delivery.
