Diony is a strategy-first agency delivering exceptional ecommerce experiences. As part of our web team, you’ll build, optimise and support Shopify stores for a range of clients, with hybrid work options in Leeds or Hull.

You’ll collaborate with the Lead Developer and Head of Design to create high-performing storefronts, troubleshoot issues, and stay ahead with the latest Shopify features and workflows.

Qualifications

• Build Shopify themes from start to finish.

Job description

Are you an experienced Shopify Developer looking to work on exciting, high-growth ecommerce projects? Do you take ownership, enjoy problem-solving, and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment? If so, this is your next step.

At Diony, we’re a strategy-first agency passionate about delivering exceptional ecommerce experiences. As part of our web team, you’ll work closely with our Lead Developer and Head of Design to build, optimise and support high-performing Shopify stores for a wide range of clients – from fast-growing DTC brands to established B2B and household names. This is a hybrid role, offering flexibility to work both remotely and from either our Hull or Leeds office.

What you’ll do:

• Build Shopify themes from start to finish.
• Support and maintain live Shopify builds.
• Work closely with designers to deliver high-performing, conversion-focused storefronts.
• Liaise directly with clients to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
• Manage your own workload with no micromanagement.
• Troubleshoot bugs, performance issues and technical challenges.
• Continuously learn and test new Shopify features, tools and technologies.

What we’re looking for:

• 2+ years’ experience in Shopify custom theme development.
• Experience working on high-turnover ecommerce websites.
• In-depth knowledge of the Shopify ecosystem, including Shopify CLI and the Liquid templating language.
• Working knowledge of databases such as MongoDB or PostgreSQL.
• Strong version control skills using Git and Shopify CLI workflows.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive, ownership-driven mindset.
• Strong communication skills, both internally and when liaising directly with clients.
• Nice to have: experience with PHP, WordPress or Laravel.
