Job summary

djr is seeking a Senior Technical Product Owner to operate between senior business stakeholders and highly technical engineering teams in Preston. This permanent role features a hybrid pattern with three days onsite per week and a competitive salary up to £75,000 plus benefits.

You will own requirements and backlogs for complex enterprise software, translate business needs into epics and stories, and collaborate with engineers, architects, QA, and product leadership through the full software

Qualifications

Senior technical product owner with enterprise software experience.
Strong technical ownership and ability to discuss with engineers and architects.
Exceptional stakeholder management and ability to influence senior leaders.
Experience owning requirements and backlogs from discovery to engineering work.
Experience delivering enterprise-scale products with multiple teams and integrations.
Understanding of SDLC, Agile delivery, and modern engineering practices.

Responsibilities

Own requirements and delivery across complex enterprise products.
Translate business requirements into epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Manage backlog, lead refinement, understand dependencies, challenge tech solutions.
Facilitate senior stakeholder conversations and drive clear decisions.
Collaborate with software engineers, architects, QA, and product leadership.
Translate Product Requirements Documents into engineering requirements.
Understand APIs, data flows, architecture, and system dependencies.
Take ownership rather than just documenting decisions.
