North Yorkshire Councils is recruiting a Senior Project Manager to lead the planning and delivery of large-scale, complex projects and programmes across our transformation agenda in North Yorkshire.

Based in a hybrid role with a minimum two days per week in one of our transformation hubs (Northallerton, Harrogate, Scarborough or Selby), you will shape governance, coordinate diverse stakeholders, and coach colleagues to deliver change effectively.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and experience of project management techniques and tools and the ability to lead, manage and inspire project teams.
• Project management qualification (PRINCE2, Agile, APM or similar) or significant experience of using structured project management methodologies.
• Experience of successfully managing complex stakeholders and resources to deliver high profile organisational change.

Responsibilities

• In this role, you'll take the lead on planning and implementation of large-scale, complex projects (and on occasion programmes) that make a real difference.
• You'll work closely with a wide range of senior colleagues and partners, both inside and outside the organisation, to ensure everything runs smoothly and successfully.
• You'll play a key role in shaping project governance, mapping out clear routes for decision-making, and planning with precision to keep everything on track.
• As part of our Projects and Programmes team, you'll also support and coach others involved in delivering change, helping them grow and succeed.
