Job summary

Reed.ai in Holborn, London seeks a Senior Engineer (Agentic Developer) to direct and coordinate coding agents across the stack and turn product intent into clear specifications.

You will design tests, reviews, and gates ensuring high quality, with accountability for every production line. Expect a focus on outcomes, reliability, and evolving agentic workflows in a startup-like environment backed by an established business.

Qualifications

• Substantial commercial engineering experience at senior or lead level.
• Hands-on with AI coding agents (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex) and evidence of effective workflows.
• Strong code-review skills and ability to write precise specs for agents.
• Proficient in PostgreSQL, REST APIs, and cloud-native fundamentals (AWS).
• Experience with Go, Python or TypeScript and automated testing/CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Translate product requirements into testable specs and supervise coding agents across the full stack.
• Maintain context packs, repository guidance and decision records for consistent agent output.
• Define acceptance criteria and independent tests before generation; enforce security controls.
• Review agent-generated code for correctness and architectural fit; maintain automated gates in CI/CD.
• Evaluate AI features for accuracy, regressions, bias, and fairness across candidate groups.
• Maintain secure architecture and comply with UK GDPR and recruitment AI obligations.
• Mentor engineers in spec-first, agent-driven development and test hypotheses with product teams.
