Job summary

BCP Council seeks a Principal Educational Psychologist to lead the Educational Psychology Service at a pivotal point in its development.

You will provide professional and strategic leadership, drive service development, and build strong partnerships with schools, families, Public Health, the NHS and SEND services while guiding innovation and safeguarding practice across Children’s Services.

Qualifications

• Qualified HCPC-registered Educational Psychologist.
• Substantial leadership experience in a Local Authority or comparable setting.
• Ability to lead service development and strategic planning.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional and strategic leadership to the Educational Psychology Service.
• Develop a culture of excellence and innovation in psychology.
• Build partnerships with schools, families, Public Health, NHS and SEND services.
• Shape service development and respond to SEND reforms.
