Job summary

BCP Council is seeking a Principal Educational Psychologist to lead the service at a pivotal development stage. You will provide professional and strategic leadership, building a culture of innovation and evidence-based practice across Schools, Families, Public Health and the NHS.

You will shape service development, workforce leadership, quality assurance, commissioning and financial management, while forging strong partnerships across Children's Services and the wider Local Authority.

Qualifications

HCPC-registered Educational Psychologist with substantial leadership experience.
Strong strategic thinking and ability to influence across services and organisations.
Ability to use data and evidence to inform decisions and drive service development.

Responsibilities

Provide professional and strategic leadership to the Educational Psychology Service.
Develop a culture of excellent psychological practice, curiosity and innovation.
Shape Experts at Hand and SEND reform, strengthening psychology contributions across Children’s Services.
