Job summary

Fortescue Zero’s Elysia Battery Intelligence seeks a Senior Data Scientist to turn complex battery data into reliable insight and build scalable workflows for customers in automotive, energy storage and heavy industry.

You will lead analytical investigations, apply battery metrics and models, and validate data quality while communicating findings to technical stakeholders and mentoring peers within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a STEM field or equivalent technical experience.
• Proven experience in data science, analytics or related area.
• Experience with battery, BMS, telematics, time-series or industrial IoT data.

Responsibilities

• Lead analytical investigations turning customer data into reliable evidence.
• Apply battery metrics and models to answer technical questions.
• Check data quality, coverage and uncertainty that could affect conclusions.
• Investigate unusual results and explain strength/limits of evidence.
• Work with engineers to ensure analysis supports customer decisions.
• Build repeatable, well-documented workflows.
• Share analytical insight with customer-facing teams and guide junior analysts.
• Review work and provide technical guidance as appropriate.
