Vargo Group in Cardiff is seeking a Senior Accountant for an established manufacturing business. You will oversee core accounting and reporting activities, support month-end and year-end processes, and provide reliable financial information to help operational leaders manage costs.

The role requires strong accounting experience, ability to explain financial data to non-finance colleagues, and a proactive approach to improving reporting controls.

Competenze

• Strong accounting and reporting experience with month-end and year-end processes.
• Ability to analyse and explain financial and operational information to senior and non-finance colleagues.
• Good organisation, accuracy and judgement to meet deadlines.
• Big Four background would be ideal, with practical judgement to support an operational business.

Mansioni

• Maintain complete and accurate general ledger and reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly financial reporting packs and analysis for senior management.
• Produce budgets, cost analyses and forecasts; support cost control.
• Manage stock controls, fixed-asset register, and project reporting.
• Prepare sales and operational reports; assist with grant reporting and statutory returns.
• Support statutory accounts, VAT, and external audit processes.
• Drive improvements in reporting processes and controls across Finance and Operations.
