Job summary

The Vargo Group is recruiting an Accountant for a Cardiff-based technology business. This hands-on role covers day-to-day financial operations, month-end reporting and audit preparation, with hybrid work three days in the office.

You will help improve how the finance function uses BI and AI, stay close to the detail, and support board and investor reporting. ACA/ACCA finalists are encouraged; salary up to £40,000 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA finalist or recently qualified.
• Experience in financial reporting, audit preparation and maintaining accuracy.
• Interest in improving reporting, systems and practical process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate transactional finance and strong controls.
• Support the month-end close and produce reliable monthly reporting.
• Prepare information and schedules for audit.
• Identify improvements to reporting, BI, and AI adoption in finance.
• Prepare board and investor reporting.
