Job summary

Aggreko in Glasgow is seeking a Security Operations Team Lead to guide a small agile team, drive security initiatives, and ensure incident response excellence across our global operations.

You will work with Palo Alto, Cortex XDR, and cloud environments (Azure/AWS), enforce ISO27001, Cyber Essentials Plus, NIS-2 and SOX controls, and collaborate with suppliers to shape security roadmaps.

Qualifications

• Experience leading agile security teams in a large global business.
• Deep understanding of ISO27001, Cyber Essentials Plus, NIS-2, and SOX compliance and audit standards.
• Hands-on with modern security tooling and cloud environments (Azure/AWS).
• Proven ability to manage security projects and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small, agile Security Operations team, driving technical initiatives and workload management.
• Provide hands-on delivery of internal security projects and technical support for operational excellence.
• Act as technical escalation point for incident management and ensure consistent security processes and audits.
• Collaborate with external suppliers and manage security service forums to contribute to capacity planning and roadmaps.
• Drive the team forward with strong technical leadership and structured task completion.
