Job summary

ScottishPower is seeking a SOC Operations Analyst to provide monitoring, triage and response support across OT environments. In a hybrid Glasgow-based role, you will work with our security teams and MSP partners to investigate alerts and incidents while contributing to playbooks and detection capabilities.

You will need to understand attack techniques, indicators of compromise and possess strong analytical skills. A UK residency and SC clearance eligibility are required for this security role.

Qualifications

• Experience in a SOC or security monitoring environment.
• Familiarity with SIEM such as QRadar.
• Understanding of common attack techniques, threat actors and IOC.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Certifications such as Security+, GCIH, GCED or SC-200 are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous security monitoring, alert triage, investigation and response support across OT environments.
• Monitor security alerts across SIEM, OT detection and other tooling; escalate incidents.
• Support incident response activities, including investigation and evidence gathering.
• Contribute to SOC processes, playbooks and detection capabilities; document activities.
