Job summary

Gamma Comms is recruiting a Technical Security Engineer to join Group Security. You will design, implement and maintain security systems to protect Gamma's products, applications, systems, and networks across the UK and Europe.

You'll collaborate with Technology, Engineering and IT teams, develop security standards, and act as the SME for security tooling and controls. The role is hybrid with 3 days onsite in our Manchester Newbury or London offices.

Qualifications

• Exposure to Windows, Linux, containers and cloud environments.
• Experience designing, developing, and delivering technical security controls.
• Strong problem-solving skills for complex environments.
• Sound decision-making to justify security tooling and approaches.
• Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to collaborate across multiple teams and drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Designing, implementing, and maintaining technical security systems.
• Developing and improving security standards, controls, and procedures.
• Work with Technology, Engineering, and IT teams to identify and resolve risks.
• Apply modern technical security approaches across a broad tech stack.
• Act as a key contact between Group Security Engineering and Security Operations.
• Serve as Gamma's SME for security tooling and controls.
• Contribute to security thought leadership and future architecture.
