Job summary

ITV is seeking a Security Engineer to join the Security Engineering team and embed security across product development. You will be the SME for one devolved product team, providing guidance and acting as the main liaison between the team and Cyber Security.

You will collaborate with Core Security Engineering to design, build, and operate bespoke in-house security services and tooling. The role emphasizes securing cloud environments, implementing security controls, and promoting secure

Qualifications

• Good understanding of security controls within cloud environments (e.g., IAM).
• Up-to-date knowledge of common security weaknesses and mitigations.
• Ability to pragmatically introduce security controls.
• Strong communication skills with stakeholders.
• Autonomy and initiative in identifying and resolving problems.
• Experience developing cloud-native apps using IaC best practices.

Responsibilities

• Use programming languages to develop serverless functions and automate processes.
• Create event-driven architectures in AWS using infrastructure-as-code tooling.
• Provide security expertise and support to business teams.
• Identify risks to cloud environments and implement mitigations.
• Suggest security improvements for technologies and processes.
• Contribute to cyber awareness training and events.
