Job summary

Gamma Comms is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst - Tier 1 to join our SOC. You will monitor security events, triage incidents, and help strengthen protections for customers across the UK and beyond.

Working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, you will develop in threat detection, incident response, and cloud security concepts while engaging with internal teams and clients. Hybrid role based near our Glasgow office with progressive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience with cybersecurity principles, incident response and threat detection.
• Familiarity with SIEM platforms and security monitoring processes.
• Understanding of networking basics and security controls.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts using SIEM, perform initial triage and investigation.
• Escalate and coordinate incident response to minimize business impact.
• Provide guidance to customers on security incidents and best practices.
• Maintain incident records and follow defined company protocols.
• Tune and improve security detections and develop use cases.
• Collaborate with internal teams and customers on security requirements.
• Stay updated on new threats and industry best practices.
• Align security activities with stakeholders and regulatory needs.
