Job summary

ENGIE UK is seeking a detail-driven Sales Ledger Assistant on a fixed-term maternity cover, based in Leeds with a hybrid work pattern. You will handle accounts receivable activities, process invoices and payments, and support the month-end close.

Expect to work with Credit Control and Internal Audit to resolve queries, ensuring compliance and timely reconciliations. JD notes Direct Debit experience and Junifer system knowledge as advantages.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in accounts receivable within a large, complex organisation.
• Direct Debit scheme operations knowledge.
• Strong numerical ability and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Degree or equivalent qualification; Junifer system knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Record all accounts receivable transactions accurately and on time.
• Clear customer cash transactions through the general ledger daily.
• Allocate AR transactions and reduce unallocated balances.
• Execute Direct Debit collections and refunds timely.
• Support monthly closes, forecasting, and audits.
• Collaborate with Credit Control, Account Managers and Internal Audit.
