Job summary

Babcock is seeking a Systems Engineer in Harrogate to contribute to mission-critical RF communications projects within our Defence sector. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to design, verify and validate complex systems and ensure timely delivery in a hybrid onsite/remote setup.

The role requires a degree in Telecommunications or Electronic Engineering and the ability to obtain Security Check (SC) and Developed Vetting (DV).

Qualifications

• Knowledge of holistic lifecycle management in a System of Systems environment.
• Engineering expertise across the lifecycle V-Model or equivalent.
• Experience with Verification, Validation and Transition to Service.

Responsibilities

• Provide Systems Engineering in the delivery of highly complex RF‑Comms projects per plans and processes.
• Support Validation, Verification, Test and Acceptance activities and build/test solutions.
• Create and present technical engineering documents and manage lifecycle documentation.
• Collaborate with Operations and Subject Matter Experts to plan and execute project delivery.
