Job summary

Babcock in Harrogate is seeking a Systems Engineer to deliver advanced RF communications capabilities that support defence operations and national security. You will work with multidisciplinary teams from concept through verification, validation and deployment to ensure the right solutions are tested and ready for field use.

Day-to-day, you will apply lifecycle engineering methods, develop test plans and liaise with the project team to keep delivery on schedule while maintaining high quality

Qualifications

• Experience with holistic lifecycle management of complex systems (Software & Hardware integration).
• Engineering expertise across the lifecycle (V-Model) from concepts to supportability.
• Demonstrable systems engineering experience including Verification, Validation and Transition to Service.

Responsibilities

• Provide Systems Engineering expertise for highly complex RF-Comms projects per the Engineering Management Plan and systems processes.
• Support Validation, Verification, Test and Acceptance activities; participate in building, testing and trials.
• Create and present technical engineering documents; manage lifecycle documentation and test cases linked to Verification/Validation requirements.
• Collaborate with Operations and cross-functional Subject Matter Experts to plan and execute project delivery.
• Coordinate with Principal Systems Engineer and Project Manager to ensure delivery to schedule and budget.
