Job summary

Jagex, located in Cambridge, seeks an Interim Revenue Accountant for a 6-month fixed-term contract. The role focuses on revenue recognition, reconciliations, and reporting across multiple systems and PSP platforms, with an emphasis on automation and scalable processes.

Hybrid work with a minimum of two days onsite, located near Cambridge. You will work with PayPal, Adyen, and Chargebee during the transition, turning complex data into clear insights for senior stakeholders while maintaining

Qualifications

Qualified Accountant status (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) required.
Experience in revenue recognition, deferred revenue, accruals and reconciliations.
Experience with PSP settlements and large datasets in finance.

Responsibilities

Own the monthly revenue recognition process across source systems.
Prepare monthly revenue and deferred revenue journals within month-end close.
Reconcile revenue calculations with billing systems and PSP platforms.
Analyze large revenue datasets and provide reliable financial insight.
Run SQL-based data extracts to support calculations and variance investigations.
Develop advanced Excel models and reconciliations for control and efficiency.
Support revenue reconciliations for Chargebee during system transitions.
Identify opportunities to automate and strengthen revenue accounting processes.
