Job summary

Jagex is seeking an Interim Revenue Accountant for a 6-month fixed-term contract in Cambridge, with a hybrid work pattern (2+ days in the office). The role focuses on accurate revenue recognition, month-end close, and robust financial reporting across multiple systems, including PayPal and Adyen.

You will drive process improvements, automate reconciliations and support the transition to Chargebee, working with large datasets and senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant status (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
• Demonstrable revenue accounting experience including revenue recognition, deferred revenue, accruals, journals, reconciliations.
• Experience reconciling large datasets and consolidating data for financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly revenue recognition process and associated journals.
• Reconcile revenue calculations across billing systems and PSP platforms.
• Analyse large revenue datasets across systems and support variance investigations.
• Run SQL-based data extracts to support revenue calculations and reconciliations.
• Develop and maintain advanced Excel models (Power Query/Power Pivot) for control and efficiency.
• Support transition to Chargebee billing platform ensuring reporting continuity.
