Job summary

Carrington West is recruiting a Regional Planner to oversee civil engineering programmes from the Chesterfield office with hybrid working. You will review monthly progress, maintain programmes, and collaborate with site teams to refine look-ahead plans and mitigate delays.

Applicants should have civil engineering planning experience, familiarity with NEC contracts, and strong communication skills to liaise with project managers and stakeholders. A UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in civil engineering planning and construction delivery.
• Experience using Microsoft Project and/or Asta Powerproject.
• Good knowledge of NEC contracts and related requirements.
• Ability to communicate with site teams and stakeholders.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing project programmes monthly to ensure progress, changes and contractual requirements are accurately recorded.
• Maintaining and updating construction programmes using Microsoft Project and/or Asta Powerproject.
• Working closely with site management teams to monitor progress and review look-ahead programmes.
• Identifying programme risks, delays and opportunities while supporting mitigation strategies.
• Reviewing contractual notices, project change registers and risk and opportunity registers.
• Supporting Extension of Time (EOT) claims and ensuring programme-related entitlements are recorded.
• Providing technical advice on construction methodologies, project sequencing and programme optimisation.
• Supporting pre-construction and tender teams with planning, construction methodologies and bid programmes.
• Working with regional management to improve planning procedures, reporting and delivery processes.
• Mentoring and supporting colleagues developing planning capabilities.
