Job summary
Careys are delivering major infrastructure projects and seeking a Planning Engineer to join our growing Planning team in North-West England. You will work with operational, commercial and pre-construction teams to develop construction programmes that drive safety and on-time delivery.
Ideal candidates are experienced in civil engineering, with exposure to NEC contracts and planning software such as Asta Powerproject, and are keen to move from site roles into planning with a collaborative,
Qualifications
- Experience delivering civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
- Experience as a Site, Section or Senior Engineer looking to move into planning.
- Understanding of NEC contracts and construction sequencing.
- Experience using planning software (e.g., Asta Powerproject) or willingness to learn.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Organised and analytical with excellent attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Develop tender and contract programmes.
- Produce construction methodologies and sequencing plans.
- Monitor progress and update live programmes.
- Manage programme change and identify risks.
- Produce look-ahead programmes and progress reports.
- Work with project teams, designers and commercial teams to optimise delivery.
- Support planning across pre-construction and live projects.
