Job summary

Siemens Mobility is seeking a Telecoms Design Engineer for Rail Infrastructure CIS based in Glasgow. The role involves delivering Telecoms design aspects for tenders and projects, with a mix of office and remote working. It is safety critical and requires pre-employment medical clearance.

You will contribute to system development, interface with sub-contractors, and ensure design deliverables meet time and budget constraints.

Qualifications

Experience in a Telecoms engineering environment.
Proven design and delivery of Telecoms systems, ideally rail.
IRSE Licence in Telecoms Design or working towards it.
Good understanding of development, design, construction, test, commissioning and handover processes.

Responsibilities

Deliver Telecoms engineering designs to time, cost, quality, safety and performance targets.
Interface with subcontractors and internal teams to complete system development and implementation.
Produce design and health & safety documentation to meet project requirements.
Plan and manage Telecoms tasks, resources and equipment for efficient delivery.
Assist in estimating engineering resources, plans, technology, risks and processes for tenders and projects.
Ensure standards, processes, and tools are applied throughout the life cycle.
