Job summary

NES Fircroft is recruiting a Rail Systems Integration Engineer to coordinate interfaces across rail systems, civil works, stations and contractors on a major UK rail infrastructure programme. The role encompasses design through to handover with a strong emphasis on integration, assurance and stakeholder coordination.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree in civil, mechanical or systems engineering or related discipline.
• Proven experience on large multidisciplinary rail infrastructure projects.
• Background in systems integration, design coordination and interface management.
• Knowledge of railway systems, operational requirements and integration processes.
• Experience preparing and managing technical assurance documentation.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and maintenance of the project's Interface Management Plan.
• Manage railway systems integration activities from design through to construction and commissioning.
• Develop and maintain Functional Specifications, Architecture Specifications and ICDs.
• Coordinate design interfaces across rail systems, civil works, stations and third-party stakeholders.
• Lead or chair systems integration and design coordination meetings.
• Provide input to change management, risk identification and opportunities.
