Job summary

Network Rail in Brighton is seeking a proactive Team Leader for Conductor Rail Maintenance. You will lead a safety-critical crew responsible for inspecting, faulting, maintaining and renewing the conductor rail system to power trains safely and efficiently.

You will drive safety, performance and team culture, with shifts covering days, nights and weekends. The role demands hands-on leadership and a strong commitment to safety and high standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in planning, implementing and managing safe systems of work.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and embed a culture of safety.
• Excellent communication skills - verbal and written.
• Technical expertise in conductor rail inspection, faulting, maintenance, and renewal techniques.
• Knowledge of relevant standards and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, fault, maintain and renew conductor rail assets safely and to high standards.
• Lead and motivate your team to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality work.
• Establish and maintain robust safety arrangements for staff and contractors.
• Ensure compliance with safe systems of work, standards and procedures.
• Monitor and check the quality of work, confirming assets meet all standards.
