Job summary

A Midlands-based, respected construction consultancy is seeking an ambitious Quantity Surveyor to join its growing team. You will work on cost planning, procurement, and financial reporting across residential, commercial, healthcare, education, and more.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• Previous consultancy or client-side experience.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts and procurement routes.
• Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage projects independently and as part of a wider team.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Progress towards APC qualification would be advantageous, though not essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost plans and estimates at all project stages.
• Produce tender documentation and manage procurement processes.
• Evaluate tenders and provide recommendations to clients.
• Administer contracts and manage project costs.
• Carry out valuations, variations and final account negotiations.
• Prepare financial reports and cash flow forecasts.
• Support clients with budget control and commercial advice.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
