Job summary

Avove Utilities invites applications for a Quantity Surveyor to join our Commercial Team. This full-time permanent role is based from our Durham office with home working, and a full driving license is a prerequisite.

You will support the commercial function, manage budgets and contracts, and build strong relationships with clients and subcontractors while contributing to tenders and bids. A driver’s license is essential for site visits and project coordination.

Qualifications

• HNC or equivalent in Quantity Surveying is required.
• Experience managing NEC3 or NEC4 contracts (target cost, fixed price, or cost reimbursable).

Responsibilities

• Support Commercial Team to ensure compliance with Avove systems and procedures.
• Manage budgets, financial reports and contracts to help each project succeed.
• Build trusted relationships with clients and subcontractors.
• Prepare accurate financial statements and monitor performance.
• Support Business Development by contributing to tenders and bids.
• Be part of a supportive team that values collaboration and a can-do attitude.
