Job summary

Ross-shire Engineering Limited is seeking a Trainee Proposals Engineer to join the Chemical and Wastewater Solutions team.   • Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership on opportunities relating to proposals, tendering and contract review.
  • Develop proposal and tendering strategies and delivery plans for new opportunities.
  • Review tender documents for scope, risks, complexity and feedback.
  • Ensure tender documents are dispatched to meet submission deadlines.
  • Price tenders in accordance with framework schedules of rates and prices, if required.
  • Manage delivery of completed tender pack to the client.

What Are We Looking For?

Owing to continued sustainable growth, our Chemical and Wastewater Solutions team is looking for a Trainee Proposals Engineer to join us on a permanent basis. In this role, you ll support the preparation and delivery of detailed tender submissions, provide financial and commercial management support throughout the tendering and proposal stages, and help maintain cost performance across projects involving our leading MBBR products throughout the UK.

This position would be ideally suited to a candidate with technical or engineering experience who is considering a new career path or has a strong interest in proposals. It s an excellent opportunity for someone looking to transfer their existing technical skills into a proposals-focused role, with full support and development provided to help build a long-term career within the industry.

Some of Your Key Duties Include:
  • To provide leadership on all opportunities relating to proposals, tendering, and contract review requirements.
  • Develop the proposal and tendering strategies, along with the delivery plans, for new opportunities.
  • Review tender documents assessing scope, risks involved, tender complexity, and provide feedback.
  • Ensure tender and/proposal documents are dispatched in time to meet submission deadlines.
  • Pricing tenders in accordance with Framework agreed Schedules of Rates and Prices, if required.
  • Effectively manage the delivery of the completed tender pack to the client.
What Do You Need?
  • Degree, HND or equivalent qualification in Engineering, or a related discipline.
