Job summary

Cirrus Selection Limited is seeking a Project Controller in Stevenage to join a defence-focused programme. You will validate schedules, own the integrated baseline, and run SRA to guide decisions.

Expect to challenge costs, monitor EVM metrics, and support bids with deliverable plans. The role requires substantial scheduling experience on complex engineering programmes and security clearance eligibility (British citizen or dual UK national).

Qualifications

• Project controls, planning on complex engineering programmes (defence/aerospace/nuclear/oil & gas).
• Hands-on scheduling in Primavera P6 from detailed to milestone plans.
• Understanding of critical path, float and resource-loaded schedules.
• Knowledge of EVM and SRA.
• Experience creating and maintaining WBS, CBS and OBS.
• Baseline management and change control experience.
• British citizen, or dual UK national with British citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Validate project schedules for accuracy, logic, and challenge readiness.
• Build and own the integrated baseline schedule and manage changes.
• Run schedule risk and what-if analyses to inform decisions.
• Chase cost forecasts and identify outliers before cost control issues arise.
• Use EVM, schedule and resource data to assess health and flag risk.
• Support bid teams to plan deliverable work from the outset.
