Job summary

Omega, based in Gloucestershire, is seeking a Production Planner who will own the production schedule for two sites, driving robust planning processes with autonomy and responsibility.

You will analyse forecasts and material demand, monitor inventory levels, collaborate with procurement, engineering and manufacturing, and establish standardised planning methods to ensure on-time delivery across a rapidly growing multi-site operation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Able to define and set up processes.
• Strong ERP / MRP systems usage.
• Solid production planning capability.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Full UK Driving licence (multi-site cover)

Responsibilities

• Define and establish robust, standardised planning processes.
• Collaborate closely with procurement, engineering and manufacturing.
• Analyse customer forecasts and production requirements.
• Establish material demand and capacity needs.
• Own the production schedule for 2 sites.
• Monitor work center capacity in MRP.
• Issue the weekly Work to List to Production at each site.
• Generate manufacturing Works Orders from MRP.
• Ensure optimal production method is used when raising them.
• Monitor inventory levels to maintain efficient business operation.
• Recommend and maintain stock levels on purchased components.
