Job summary

Husqvarna Group in Newton Aycliffe is seeking a detail-oriented Production Planner to create, maintain, and optimise production schedules for the Mould Shop. The role offers hybrid flexibility, with one day a week working from home.

Reporting to the Planning and Materials Manager, you will own the Build Plan, coordinate with multiple functions, and drive continuous improvements to planning processes and data accuracy.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in production planning, scheduling, materials planning, or supply chain planning.
• Strong Excel skills to analyse and present data for planning decisions.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and master data governance.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Proactive, with continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain, and optimise production schedules.
• Own and improve the Moulding Build Plan coordinating with production, materials, engineering, quality.
• Coordinate production activities to match material availability, labour, equipment, and customer requirements.
• Provide cover across planning activities to ensure continuity.
• Monitor progress and manage risks to meet delivery and quality targets.
• Collaborate to identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency, and cost reduction.
• Ensure data accuracy and alignment of system changes with business needs.
• Support engineering changes and new product introductions with planning resources.
• Support obsolescence projects with planning and stock management.
