Job summary

Responsibilities

• Contribute options for business improvement in line with defined objectives and provide project management support to the Strategy & Development Team.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with business and service users and key stakeholders with guidance, to ensure effective business change.
• Support and contribute to service improvement activities and initiatives, including the development of Contract Management guidance and procedures across Ardal.
• To support the collection and production of performance data.
• To assist in the coordination, monitoring and review of performance management business processes.
• Assist in the preparation of project documents in accordance with agreed project/programme governance arrangements.
• Ensure compliance with all required legislative and Council policies and procedures.
• Analyse current processes and contribute recommendations for the design of future working practices, identifying critical success factors and performance measures.
• Provide project management support and estimates of task duration to inform project plans.
• Carry out specified tasks to capture and document business and service user requirements and identify interdependencies.
• Lead or support, as required, on the development of procurement systems and documentation including procedures, process maps, guidance documents and forms to implement changes and / or improvements to procurement business processes.
• Support on the development and implementation of online resources and lead on the procurement learning and development programme.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders e.g., through consultation and collaborative working.
• Conduct cost-benefit analysis to contribute to the development of appropriate business cases.
• Recognise and anticipate risks & barriers to delivery and take proactive action to mitigate against them.
• Support the Head of Procurement (C&P) in co-ordinating client relations, communications, schedules and delivery of Ardal services to end users.
