Job summary

Johnston Carmichael is seeking a Private Client Tax Manager or Senior Manager to lead a mixed team of tax professionals. The role is flexible across Scotland or our Newcastle office, focusing on high-level technical advice and proactive client management.

You will mentor staff, grow the department, and ensure tax compliance and advisory excellence while developing new business opportunities for the firm. A CA or equivalent qualification is preferred, and visa sponsorship is not offered.

Responsibilities

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of business, personal and capital taxes.
• Mentor, train, and delegate work within the portfolio.
• Liaise with client service teams and other disciplines for coordinated service.
