Johnston Carmichael Private Client Tax Senior in Dundee is sought to join a busy team. You will manage a portfolio of private client tax work, including partnerships, self-assessment and trusts, while liaising with clients and HMRC.

Qualifications

• ATT/CIOT qualified or near to completion (or experience equivalent).
• Proven leadership of your work and professional learning.
• Excellent communication with ability to influence others.
• Relevant tax experience in a similar role preferred.
• Positive can-do attitude and willingness to develop tax knowledge.
• Strong numerical, written English, teamwork skills.
• Qualified CA (or equivalent) and above.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of private client tax work.
• Prepare Partnership Tax Returns for varied businesses.
• Process and prepare Self-Assessment returns for clients, including trusts.
• Deal with loss relief claims, pension charges and CGT reliefs.
• Prepare CGT 60 day returns for residential property disposals.
• Liaise with clients and HMRC on basic tax and NI queries.
• Review simple returns and delegate work to assistants.
• Support Tax Manager/Senior Tax Manager and mentor staff.
