Job summary

Equiniti is seeking a Business Intelligence Developer to design, develop and maintain reporting, BI and analytic solutions within the Planning, Reporting & Business Intelligence team. The role combines technical reporting expertise with data analysis, stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement to support operational performance and forecasting.

Hybrid working with offices in Crawley, Liverpool, Reading or London and occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Proven experience developing reports, dashboards and visualisations using Power BI.
• Strong working knowledge of SQL, data extraction and data validation techniques.
• Experience with Power Query, data modelling and reporting best practices.
• Ability to analyse complex datasets, identify trends and investigate anomalies.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to support planning, forecasting and business decision-making.
• Ability to translate business requirements into practical, maintainable reporting and BI solutions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience presenting analytical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and quality.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain reports, dashboards and analytical solutions using Power BI and related technologies.
• Create clear, engaging reporting outputs for operational, management and client stakeholders.
• Support the development and maintenance of data models, semantic models and reporting datasets.
• Gather, analyse and document reporting and BI requirements from stakeholders.
• Develop and support data pipelines, ETL processes and reporting platforms to ensure reliable data availability.
• Produce analysis and analytical models to support operational performance and forecasting.
• Validate and reconcile data sources and resolve data quality issues.
• Translate complex data into clear business insight and actionable recommendations.
