Job summary

Matchtech is seeking a talented Business Reporting Analyst to join their team in Tamworth, with 4 days on site per week and 1 day remote. You will transform data into actionable business insights and develop reporting solutions to support strategic decision-making across the organisation.

The role focuses on building Power BI dashboards, collaborating with stakeholders to define KPIs, monitoring costs and budgets, and ensuring data accuracy through governance best practices.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Reporting Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar reporting-focused role.
• Strong Power BI skills and experience improving reports/dashboards.
• Good working knowledge of SQL and strong data analysis capabilities.
• Ability to interpret complex datasets and translate findings into actionable insights.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the confidence to influence decisions.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for senior audiences.
• Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
• Understanding of BI and reporting best practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance business reports and Power BI dashboards.
• Work with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and define KPIs.
• Analyse trends, variances, and performance metrics to identify opportunities and risks.
• Analyse project and operational costs against budgets and provide insights.
• Investigate data anomalies and reporting issues and resolve root causes.
• Ensure data accuracy and governance through validation and checks.
• Produce executive-level reports and performance packs for decision-making.
• Provide data-driven recommendations to improve performance.
• Collaborate across departments to support change initiatives.
