Job summary

Natural Resources Wales (NRW) is seeking a Portfolio Performance & Insight Specialist Advisor to turn complex data into clear insights for strategic decisions. You will help monitor delivery of the Corporate Plan and priorities, developing dashboards and MI that inform executive choices.

You will collaborate across NRW to drive continuous improvement, shaping how performance is measured and reported, and ensuring leaders have timely information to deliver Wales's environment and people-focused

Qualifications

• Significant experience in performance/portfolio management or organisational reporting.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret and present complex information for decision making.
• Experience creating and maintaining dashboards and management information.
• Excellent communication and report writing for senior managers and governance groups.
• Stakeholder engagement across organisational boundaries to deliver outcomes.
• Welsh Language Level A2 (essential)

Responsibilities

• Support development and continuous improvement of portfolio performance monitoring.
• Analyse and integrate information from plans, programmes and risk reports to identify trends and issues.
• Develop and enhance reporting products, dashboards and visualisations for senior leaders.
• Collate and quality assure performance data across NRW within governance timescales.
• Lead production of portfolio performance reports for Executive Team and Board.
• Provide specialist guidance on portfolio reporting, performance management and data quality.
• Undertake research into performance issues and best practices to inform policy and frameworks.
• Lead medium sized projects related to portfolio reporting and BI, ensuring timely delivery.
• Coordinate contributions across the organisation to support corporate priorities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of portfolio management and governance processes.
• Undertake health and safety duties as appropriate.
• Commit to NRW Equal Opportunities and continuing development.
• Participate in incident response activities.
• Perform other reasonable duties as required.
