Job summary

Midland Heart is seeking a Portfolio Officer to monitor and analyse project and change information, ensuring accurate reporting and high-quality controls. The role focuses on identifying trends, dependencies and risks to support portfolio planning and decision-making.

You will coordinate reporting cycles, quality-check data, produce insights and dashboards, and challenge gaps or inconsistencies to strengthen delivery information across programmes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate portfolio reporting cycles constructively challenging gaps, inconsistencies or areas of concern in project and change information.
• Review and quality assure delivery information, including RAG assessments, risks, issues, finances and benefits.
• Produce portfolio reports, dashboards and insight that support effective decision making.
• Analyse information to identify trends, recurring themes, exceptions and emerging concerns.
• Monitor milestones, scope changes, risks, issues and dependencies across the portfolio.
• Review resource, financial and benefits information and highlight pressures or exceptions requiring further attention.
• Support portfolio assurance and review activity, identifying gaps, exceptions and areas requiring follow up or escalation.
• Work with Project and Portfolio Delivery Managers to strengthen the quality and consistency of delivery information and controls.
